How Sushi Restaurants Make Sushi
Friday, July 31st, 2009Sushi is the most famous japanese dish outside of Japan. And one of the most popular dishes among the japanese themselves. And although the japanese tend to usually enjoy sushi on special occasions the western world enjoy sushi all the time, both for lunch and dinner.
Wether it is streaming on plates, winding through a restaurant on a sushi conveyor belt or being served by a waiter, sushi is considered one of the healthiest foods you can eat. It is convenient as it comes in small pieces that can be handled by chopsticks or your hands. But it comes in different shapes and sizes.
It can come rolled in Maki or seaweed. Personally I find this the most convenient as it your fingers don’t get sticky from the rice. And you can have all sort of ingredients and flavours in them. Ranging from Fish to terriyaki chicken and even vegetables as well.
But as these are small they take a long time to make. So to help sushi chefs and restaurants they have invented a sushi making machine. They are so quick and convenient they really improve the productivity of any sushi restaurants.
And after the sushi rolls have been made they need to be cut. To help again sushi restaurants like to use a sushi roll cutter. This will help them cut each roll in one easy cut saving loads of time and meaning you can eat your sushi faster.
So next time you stop by a sushi train take a peak out the back and see how your sushi rolls are made.
