Getting many Backlinks.

It is well known that it is not enough for a good ranking to only have an optimized website for the keywords. More important are links from other sites to your website. There are different types of links and it is always good to understand something about it.

If you find a website with witch you want to exchange links contact the webmaster and offer him a link from your website. If he agrees you obtain a backlink from his website to your site. Those links are reciprocal links or Two Way Links. Keep in mind to ask for a link from related sites, they are more important to Google. The best links are links from your competitors because they are most related. Two Way Links don’t increase your ranking significantly in Google, of course they are better than no links. Google loves One Way Links. This is a link from another website to your site and there is no link from your site to the other site. You can get such links from web directories. But they are not very important for search engines. One Way Links would be of course again the best of a competing website because they are very related. But nobody wants to link to your website and get nothing in return.

You can proceed quite special if you have two partners, B and C. You (A) link to B and B doesn’t link back to you (that would be reciprocal) he links to C. C then links to A.
