Maestro range of desking and office furniture
The Maestro range of office furniture manufactured by Dams International is one of the most popular ranges of business furniture ever manufactured. This popularity is based upon a winning combination of Maestro offering superb value for money, Maestro furniture is extremely hard wearing and functional, and Maestro offers a wide choice of modular furniture items. Maestro is an excellent product range for either cost conscious firms or the home office furniture user.
Maestro desks are available in just three basic shapes (rectangular, wave and ergonomic L shaped desks) each with a selection of sizes and a straight choice of leg designs between wooden panel end and the more popular steel cantilever design. In previous years Maestro desking has been sold in several different MFC woodgrain effect finishes. Recently the range has been rationalised down to either beech or oak woodgrain effect finish, though the cherry finish and light grey products have only recently been discontinued and for certain products residual stocks may still be available.
If there is a possible shortcoming of Maestro office furniture, it is that it is constructed from 18mm MFC wood effect board which can make it look a little too inexpensive for some customers requirements, though it’s lasting rugged durability should not be doubted despite its budget appearance. The business office furniture market has leaned firmly towards 25mm furniture products over the last few years which generally looks a lot better quality. A sensible upgrade from Maestro furniture is the Maestro 25 range (AKA M25 furniture).
Maestro 25 desking is generally around 10% to 15% dearer than Maestro desks, but aesthetically they look a far superior quality and give a more positive impression. Both ranges can be installed in the same office and will not stick out like a sore thumb. The main thing to note is that M25 desking products only come in standard metric depths and widths (800mm deep and metric widths like 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm etc.) whereas Maestro desks comes in various non standard depths and widths (746mm deep and widths like 1228mm, 1532mm, 1778mm etc.) This size issue is only an issue if you intend to add a Maestro 25 desk onto a cluster of original Maestro desks.
