The fleas life cycle explained

A flea infestation can catch so many people out so quickly if they are not careful, this is due to the spread of the fleas breading, a female flea can lay up to 50 eggs a day, however these fleas can lay in your carpets for up to 2 years until the time is perfect for the egg to hatch.

Fleas are small parasites that need a host to live off, the fleas are great jumpers and are able to leap many times their own body length. They often jump onto pets as they can then burrow down into the dog or cats fur and bite the animal to feed.
